Arjuna meets the Lokapālas, is tested by Indra, and is led to Amarāvatī for astra-śikṣā

Indraloka-gamana

ब्रहद्मण: सदनात्‌ तस्य परं स्थान प्रकाशते । देवा अपि न पश्यन्ति सर्वतेजोमयं शुभम्‌

bṛhadmaṇaḥ sadanāt tasya paraṃ sthānaṃ prakāśate | devā api na paśyanti sarvatejomayaṃ śubham |

Sinabi ni Vaiśaṃpāyana: “Higit pa sa malawak na daigdig ni Brahmā, may isang lalong mataas na tahanan Niya na nagliliwanag. Maging ang mga diyos ay hindi madaling makatanaw sa mapalad na anyong iyon na lubos na binubuo ng liwanag. Ito’y sariling nagliliwanag, humihigit sa ningning ng araw at apoy, at ang pagtanaw dito ay napakahirap para sa mga diyos at mga asura.”
