Arjuna’s Arrival and Reunion on the Sacred Mountain

महात्मा चारुसर्वाज्ध: कम्बुग्रीवो महाभुज: । रुक्मपृष्ठं धनु: खडगं तूर्णाश्चनापि परामृशत्‌,उनका हृदय महान्‌ था, सभी अंग मनोहर जान पड़ते थे, ग्रीवा शंखके समान थी और भुजाएँ बड़ी-बड़ी थीं। वे सुवर्णकी पीठवाले धुनष, खड्ग तथा तरकसपर बार-बार हाथ फेरते थे

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

mahātmā cāru-sarvāṅgaḥ kambugrīvo mahābhujaḥ |

rukmapṛṣṭhaṃ dhanuḥ khaḍgaṃ tūṇīṃś cānāpi parāmṛśat ||

Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Siya’y dakilang-loob, kaaya-aya sa bawat sangkap, may leeg na tulad ng kabibe ng sankha at may malalakas na bisig. Paulit-ulit niyang hinahaplos at hinahawakan ang kanyang busog na may likurang ginto, ang kanyang espada, at ang kanyang mga lalagyan ng palaso—palatandaan ng kahandaan at matibay na pasya habang papalapit ang salaysay sa pagkilos.
