Hanūmān’s Embrace, Counsel, and Promise to Amplify Bhīma’s Battle-Roar

Gandhamādana Continuation

Educational Q&A

The verse teaches that disciplined performance of one’s āśrama-based duties, done at the proper time and without desire for results, leads to the highest good. It links ethical life (varṇāśrama-dharma) with inner renunciation (akāma, non-attachment) and devotion to the one Supreme Lord.

Bhīma describes the ideal conduct of people in Satya-yuga: their minds were fixed on the one God, they practiced divine name-recitation and worship, accepted the Veda as sole authority, and—despite differing social and life-stage duties—followed one eternal dharma, attaining the supreme state through desireless action.
