Educational Q&A

Even in hardship, righteous conduct includes orderly stewardship and respect for social roles: the heroes do not abandon dependents or property carelessly; they entrust responsibilities appropriately, then proceed with disciplined purpose and hopeful resolve.

At dawn the next day, the Pāṇḍavas, accompanied by Draupadī, begin a slow journey on foot toward the Himālaya. Before leaving, they hand over their attendants, cooks, and Draupadī’s belongings to the Kulinda ruler (Subāhu). They are especially eager to meet Arjuna, which fills them with joy as they depart.
