The verse highlights the ethical-religious idea that sincere intention (putrārtha) expressed through disciplined ritual offering can align a person with divine order; sacred places preserve memories of such exemplary acts and inspire faith and restraint.
Lomaśa, guiding the heroes on pilgrimage, identifies the tīrtha named Vinaśana located within the mountain Maināka and recounts its sanctity by recalling an ancient episode: Aditi once prepared a ritual food-offering there for the Sādhya gods, seeking the blessing of a son.
