Sātyaki’s Call for Intervention and Yudhiṣṭhira’s Vow-Bound Restraint (सात्यकिवाक्यं—धर्मराजस्य धैर्यनिश्चयः)
यदा तु पञ्चालपतिर्महात्मा सकेकयश्षेदिपतिर्वयं च । युध्येम विक्रम्य रणे समेता- स्तदैव सर्वे रिपवो हि न स्यु:,जब महात्मा पांचालराज, केकय, चेदिराज और हम सब लोग एक साथ होकर रणमें पराक्रम दिखायेंगे, उसी समय हमारे सारे शत्रुओंका अस्तित्व मिट जायगा
yadā tu pañcālapatir mahātmā sa kaikayaś cedipativ vayaṃ ca | yudhyema vikramya raṇe sametās tadaiva sarve ripavo hi na syuḥ ||
Ngunit kapag ang dakilang pinuno ng Pañcāla, kasama ang hari ng Kaikaya, ang tagapamahala ng Cedi, at kami rin, ay nagkaisa at nagpakita ng tapang sa larangan ng digmaan, sa sandaling iyon mismo ay maglalaho ang lahat ng kaaway, na para bang hindi na umiral.
