Kirmīra-rākṣasa-saṃgamaḥ (Encounter and Slaying of Kirmīra) | किर्मीरेण सह भीमसेनसमागमः
सा कृपासंगृहीतेन हृदयेन मनस्विनी । नैनमैच्छत् तदाख्यातुमनुक्रोशादनिन्दिता,मनस्विनी एवं अनिन्दिता हिडिम्बाने स्नेहयुक्त हृदयके कारण दयावश यह क्रूरतापूर्ण संदेश भीमसेनसे कहना उचित न समझा
sā kṛpāsaṅgṛhītena hṛdayena manasvinī | nainam aicchat tad ākhyātum anukrośād aninditā ||
Ngunit ang babaeng marangal at walang dungis, dahil sa habag at malambot na puso, ay hindi inakalang nararapat iparating kay Bhīmasena ang malupit na mensaheng iyon, at pinigil niya ito dahil sa awa.
राक्षस उवाच
The verse highlights ethical restraint: even when one knows a painful or cruel message, compassion (anukrośa) and a blameless disposition (aninditā) can justify withholding it to prevent needless harm.
Hidimbā, described as noble-minded and beyond reproach, is emotionally moved by compassion and therefore chooses not to relay a cruel message to Bhīmasena.
