लोगमश उवाच
The verse frames a transition from action to instruction: after releasing the animal and moving on the Devayāna path, Lomasha prepares to teach Yudhiṣṭhira about the rightful, traditional allotment (bhāga) of Rudra in sacrificial rites—emphasizing attentive understanding and respect for established ritual-dharma.
Lomasha narrates that ‘he’ (the subject of the story) lets the animal go and departs by the Devayāna route. Lomasha then turns to Yudhiṣṭhira and announces an upcoming explanation: a verse/tradition describing Rudra’s sacrificial share and its succession, inviting Yudhiṣṭhira to listen carefully.
