अभ्यागच्छति दाशाहें धार्तराष्ट्री महायशा:

abhyāgacchati dāśāheṃ dhārtarāṣṭrī mahāyaśāḥ

Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Ang marangal at bantog na Dhārtarāṣṭrī (Gāndhārī) ay lumapit/umabante sa takdang oras. Ipinahihiwatig ng taludtod ang isang maringal na pagpasok, inihahanda ang salaysay sa payo at bigat ng panawagang moral sa loob ng sambahayang Kuru habang papalapit ang krisis ng digmaan.
