Udyoga Parva, Chapter 81: Krishna Sets Out as Envoy
सुता द्रुपदराजस्य स्वसितायतमूर्थजा । सम्पूज्य सहदेवं च सात्यकिं च महारथम्
sutā drupadarājasya svasitāyatamūrthajā | sampūjya sahadevaṃ ca sātyakiṃ ca mahāratham ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśaṃpāyana: Ang anak na babae ni Haring Drupada—na isinilang mula sa sarili niyang katawan—matapos igalang nang nararapat si Sahadeva at si Sātyaki, ang dakilang mandirigmang karwahe, (ay nagpatuloy pa sa daloy ng mga pangyayari).
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores dharmic conduct through proper honoring (satkāra) of respected persons—especially allies and eminent warriors—showing that ethical civility and gratitude remain essential even when conflict is imminent.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Drupada’s daughter respectfully receives and honors Sahadeva and the great warrior Sātyaki, indicating formal welcome and recognition within the unfolding preparations and alliances of the Udyoga Parva.
