Nakula’s Adaptive Counsel to Kṛṣṇa in the Kuru Assembly (उद्योगपर्व, अध्याय ७८)
यत् तु वाचा मया शक्यं कर्मणा वापि पाण्डव । करिष्ये तदहं पार्थ न त्वाशंसे शमं परै:,पाण्डुनन्दन! मेरे द्वारा वाणी और प्रयत्नसे जो कुछ हो सकता है, वह मैं अवश्य करूँगा; परंतु पार्थ! मुझे यह तनिक भी आशा नहीं है कि शत्रुओंके साथ संधि हो जायगी
yat tu vācā mayā śakyaṃ karmaṇā vāpi pāṇḍava | kariṣye tad ahaṃ pārtha na tv āśaṃse śamaṃ paraiḥ ||
O Pāṇḍava, anuman ang magagawa ko sa pamamagitan ng pananalita o sa pamamagitan ng gawa, tiyak na gagawin ko. Ngunit, O Pārtha, wala akong kahit munting pag-asa na makakamtan ang kapayapaan o pakikipagkasundo sa kaaway.
