A leader should act with clear knowledge of all parties’ intentions and with awareness of one’s own resolve; ethical action in crisis requires informed discernment rather than impulsive reaction.
Śrī Kṛṣṇa addresses Yudhiṣṭhira, stating that he has heard both Sañjaya’s message and Yudhiṣṭhira’s words, and that he understands the Kauravas’ intentions as well as Yudhiṣṭhira’s stance—setting the stage for counsel regarding the coming conflict.
