Dhṛtarāṣṭra–Duryodhana Dialogue on Peace and the Refusal of Compromise
येषु सम्प्रतितिष्ठेयु: कुरव: पीडिता: परै: । ते युद्ध नाभिनन्दन्ति तत् तुभ्यं तात रोचताम्,शत्रुओंसे पीड़ित होनेपर कौरवसैनिक जिनके आश्रयमें खड़े हो सकते हैं, वे ही लोग युद्धका अनुमोदन नहीं कर रहे हैं। तात! उनके इस विचारको तुम्हें भी पसंद करना चाहिये
yeṣu sampratitiṣṭheyuḥ kuravaḥ pīḍitāḥ paraiḥ | te yuddhaṃ nābhinandanti tat tubhyaṃ tāta rocatām ||
Yaong mga taong maaasahan ng mga Kuru kapag sila’y pinahihirapan ng mga kaaway—sila ring mga iyon ang hindi sumasang-ayon sa digmaan. Kaya, anak ko, nawa’y maging katanggap-tanggap din sa iyo ang kanilang pasya.
