Sanatsujāta–Dhṛtarāṣṭra Saṃvāda: Pramāda as Mṛtyu

Chapter 42

तस्मात्‌ क्षत्रिय मा मंस्था जल्पितेनैव वै द्विजम्‌ । य एव सत्यान्नापैति स ज्ञेयो ब्राह्मणस्त्वया,इसलिये महाराज! केवल बातें बनानेसे ही किसीको ब्राह्मण न मान लेना। जो सत्यस्वरूप परमात्मासे कभी पृथक्‌ नहीं होता, उसीको तुम ब्राह्मण समझो

tasmāt kṣatriya mā maṁsthā jalpitenaiva vai dvijam | ya eva satyān nāpaiti sa jñeyo brāhmaṇas tvayā ||

Kaya, O haring Kshatriya, huwag mong isipin na Brahmin ang isang tao dahil lamang sa marami siyang sinasabi o mahusay magsalita. Kilalanin mong tunay na Brahmin ang hindi kailanman lumilihis sa Katotohanan—sa Kataas-taasang Realidad—at nananatiling di-maihihiwalay na nakatatag dito.
