Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 34 — Vidura’s Counsel on Deliberation, Speech-Discipline, and Dharmic Kingship

कि वै सहैवं चरथो न पुरा चरथ: सह । विरोचनैतत्‌ पृच्छामि कि ते सख्यं सुधन्वना,[फिर प्रकटरूपमें विरोचनसे कहा--] विरोचन! मैं तुमसे पूछता हूँ, क्या सुधन्वाके साथ तुम्हारी मित्रता हो गयी है? फिर कैसे एक साथ आ रहे हो? पहले तो तुम दोनों कभी एक साथ नहीं चलते थे

kiṁ vai sahaivaṁ caratho na purā carathaḥ saha | virocanaitat pṛcchāmi kiṁ te sakhyaṁ sudhanvanā ||

Wika ni Prahlāda: “Bakit kayong dalawa’y naglalakad na magkasama nang ganyan? Noon, hindi kayo kailanman gumagala sa iisang kasama. Virocana, hayagan kitang tinatanong—nakipagkaibigan ka na ba kay Sudhanvan? Kung gayon, paano nagkaroon ng ganitong pagsasama?”
