न भयान्नाप्यनुक्रोशान्नार्थलो भान्न काम्यया । क्षात्रं धर्ममहं जह्यामिति मे व्रतमाहितम्‌,“मैं भयसे, दयासे, धनके लोभसे तथा और किसी कामनासे भी क्षत्रियधर्मका त्याग नहीं कर सकता, यह मेरा स्वीकार किया हुआ व्रत है”

Transliteration

na bhayān nāpy anukrośān nārthalobhān na kāmyayā | kṣātraṃ dharmam ahaṃ jahyām iti me vratam āhitam ||

Translation

Wika ni Rāma: “Hindi dahil sa takot, ni dahil sa awa, ni dahil sa kasakiman sa yaman, ni dahil sa anumang pansariling pagnanasa ako tatalikod sa tungkulin ng mandirigma. Ito ang panatang matibay kong tinanggap.”
