mama tu vyasanasyāsya bhīṣmo mūlaṃ mahāvrataḥ | yenāhaṃ vaśamānītā samutkṣipya balāt tadā |
Para sa akin, ang ugat ng kapahamakan kong ito ay si Bhīṣma, ang tagapag-ingat ng dakilang panata. Sapagkat siya noon ang marahas na dumakip sa akin, binuhat at inilagay sa karwahe, isinailalim ako sa kanyang kapangyarihan, at dinala ako sa Hastināpura.
