Amba approaches the Paraśurāma context; Hotravāhana’s counsel and Akṛtavraṇa’s report (अम्बोपाख्यानम्—रामदर्शनप्रसङ्गः)
The verse highlights a dharma-centered ethic of governance: a ruler or guardian prioritizes the continuity and stability of the kingdom and lineage through proper marriage arrangements, even when it requires firm command and personal self-restraint.
Bhīṣma brings the maidens to Satyavatī and, without delay, directs that they be married to his younger brother Vicitravīrya, formalizing the next step to secure heirs for the Kuru line.
