सोऊहं योत्स्यामि तत्त्वेन पालयंस्तव वाहिनीम् | यथावच्छास्त्रतो राजन व्येतु ते मानसो ज्वर:
so ’haṃ yotsyāmi tattvena pālayan tava vāhinīm | yathāvac chāstrato rājan vyetu te mānaso jvaraḥ ||
Wika ni Sañjaya: “O Hari! Makikipaglaban ako nang tunay habang pinangangalagaan ang iyong hukbo, at gagawin ko ito ayon sa mga tuntunin ng śāstra. Mapawi nawa ang lagnat ng pangamba sa iyong isipan.”
संजय उवाच
Even in war, action should be governed by śāstra and dharma: one must protect those under one’s charge and fight with disciplined, rule-bound conduct, thereby reducing fear and moral confusion.
Sañjaya addresses the king, assuring him that he will fight sincerely while safeguarding the king’s forces, and that he will follow proper śāstric norms of warfare, urging the king to let go of anxious agitation.
