Kuntī–Karṇa Saṃvāda: Lineage Disclosure and Appeal to Fraternal Dharma

जयद्रथस्य कर्णस्य तथा दुःशासनस्यथ च । सौबलस्य च दुर्बुद्धा मिथो भेद: प्रपत्स्यते

jayadrathasya karṇasya tathā duḥśāsanasya tha ca | saubalasya ca durbuddhā mitho bhedaḥ prapatsyate ||

Sinabi ni Vaiśaṃpāyana: Sa mga lalaking salat sa payo at mali ang isip—sina Jayadratha, Karṇa, Duḥśāsana, at Śakuni—magkakaroon ng pagkakabiyak sa isa’t isa. Sa himig-moral ng Udyoga Parva, ito’y hudyat na ang adharma, na pinapagalaw ng pagmamataas at baluktot na patakaran, ay magpapabaling sa mga kakampi laban sa kapwa kakampi at magpapabilis ng kapahamakan bago pa man maitaas ang mga sandata ng digmaan.
