स समीक्ष्यक्रमोपेतो मुख्य: कालोडयमागत: । अम्मिंक्षेदागते काले कार्य न प्रतिपद्यसे
sa samīkṣya kramopeto mukhyaḥ kālo ’yam āgataḥ | ammiṃkṣed āgate kāle kāryaṃ na pratipadyase ||
Sabi ng anak: “Matapos pag-isipang mabuti ang wastong pagkakasunod ng mga hakbang, dumating na ngayon ang sandaling mapagpasya. Ngunit kahit dumating na ang oras ng pagkilos, hindi mo pa rin sinisimulan ang gawain.”
पुत्र उवाच
Right action requires both discernment and timely execution: after assessing the proper course (krama) and recognizing the decisive moment (mukhya kāla), one should not hesitate to undertake one’s duty (kārya).
A son addresses an elder/decision-maker, urging him to act. He points out that the situation has been reviewed and the critical time has arrived, but the addressee still refrains from taking up the necessary course of action.
