निर्वादादास्पदं लब्ध्वा धनवृद्धिर्भविष्यति । धनवन्तं हि मित्राणि भजन्ते चाश्रयन्ति च
nirvādād āspadaṁ labdhvā dhanavṛddhir bhaviṣyati | dhanavantaṁ hi mitrāṇi bhajante cāśrayanti ca ||
“Sa pagwawakas ng alitan at pagkamit ng ligtas na kanlungan, lalago ang yaman. Sapagkat ang mga kaibigan ay likás na kumakapit at humahanap ng pag-aaruga sa taong masagana.”
पुत्र उवाच
Pacifying hostility and securing a stable refuge prevents needless conflict and enables prosperity; prosperity then naturally draws allies and dependents, strengthening one’s position.
A son offers political-ethical counsel: avoid escalation by calming an enemy, gain security, and thereby increase wealth; he notes the social reality that friends and allies gravitate toward a prosperous ruler for support and protection.
