विपरीता व्वियं वृत्तिरसकृल्लक्ष्यते त्वयि,“तुम्हारे भीतर यह विपरीत वृत्ति बारंबार देखनेमें आती है। भारत! इस समय तुम्हारा जो दुराग्रह है, वह अधर्ममय ही है। उसके होनेका कोई समुचित कारण भी नहीं है। यह भयंकर हठ अनिष्टकारक तथा महान्‌ प्राणनाशक है। तुम इसे सफल बना सको, यह सम्भव नहीं है

vaiśampāyana uvāca | viparītā hy iyaṃ vṛttir asakṛl lakṣyate tvayi |

Wika ni Vaiśampāyana: “Ang asal mo’y tunay na baluktot; ito’y nakikita sa iyo nang paulit-ulit. O Bhārata, ang pagkapit mo ngayon sa matigas na paggiit ay siya mismong adharma, at wala ring angkop na dahilan para rito. Ang kakila-kilabot na katigasan ng ulo na ito’y nagdudulot ng kapahamakan at humahantong sa malaking pagdanak ng buhay; hindi mo ito mapagtatagumpayan.”
