ययातिपतन-कारणम् (The Cause of Yayāti’s Fall) — Nārada’s Counsel on Pride and Reconciliation
यथा प्राणांश्ष॒ राज्यं च राजन् कामसुखानि च । त्यजेयं न पुनः सत्यं तेन सत्येन खं ब्रज
yathā prāṇān rājyaṃ ca rājan kāmasukhāni ca | tyajeyaṃ na punaḥ satyaṃ tena satyena khaṃ braja ||
Sinabi ni Nārada: “O Hari, maitatakwil ko ang sarili kong buhay, ang aking kaharian, at lahat ng ligayang bunga ng pagnanasa; ngunit hindi ko kailanman itatakwil ang katotohanan. Sa katotohanang iyon, umakyat ka sa langit.”
