वक्तुमिच्छामि तु सखे यथा जानासि मां पुरा । न तथा वित्तवानस्मि क्षीणं वित्तं च मे सखे,'सखे! फिर भी मैं एक बात कहना चाहता हूँ। आप पहलेसे मुझे जैसा धनवान्‌ समझते हैं, वैसा धनसम्पन्न अब मैं नहीं रह गया हूँ। मित्र! मेरा वैभव इन दिनों क्षीण हो गया है

Transliteration

vaktum icchāmi tu sakhe yathā jānāsi māṃ purā | na tathā vittavān asmi kṣīṇaṃ vittaṃ ca me sakhe ||

Translation

Sinabi ni Nārada: “Kaibigan, nais ko pa ring magsabi ng isang bagay. Gaya ng pagkakakilala mo sa akin noon—bilang taong may yaman—hindi na ako gayon ngayon. Kaibigan, ang aking mga yaman at pinagkukunan ay lumiit sa mga araw na ito.”
