अष्टादशपुराणानां श्रवणाद् यत् फलं भवेत् | तत् फलं समवाप्रोति वैष्णवो नात्र संशय:
aṣṭādaśa-purāṇānāṃ śravaṇād yat phalaṃ bhavet | tat phalaṃ samavāpnoti vaiṣṇavo nātra saṃśayaḥ ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Anumang gantimpalang dulot ng pakikinig sa labingwalong Purāṇa—ang gayong gantimpala ay ganap na nakakamit ng deboto ni Viṣṇu sa pakikinig lamang sa Mahābhārata; walang pag-aalinlangan dito.
