आदी तु वाचकं चैव वस्त्रगन्धसमन्वितम्‌ | विधिवद्‌ भोजयेद्‌ राजन्‌ मधु पायसमुनत्तमम्‌

Transliteration

ādau tu vācakaṃ caiva vastra-gandha-samanvitam | vidhivad bhojayet rājan madhu pāyasaṃ anuttamam ||

Translation

Wika ni Vaiśampāyana: “Sa pasimula, O hari, ang tagapagbigkas ay dapat parangalan ayon sa wastong ritwal—bihisan ng bagong kasuotan at pahiran ng mababangong unguento—at pagkatapos, ayon sa tuntunin, pakainin ng matatamis: pulot at napakahusay na pāyasa (lugaw na gatas at bigas).”
