हन्त यत् ते प्रवक्ष्यामि तच्छुणुष्व समाहित: । ऋषीणां देवतानां च सम्भवं वसुधातले
hanta yat te pravakṣyāmi tac chṛṇuṣva samāhitaḥ | ṛṣīṇāṃ devatānāṃ ca sambhavaṃ vasudhātale ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: “Halina—makinig kayo nang may natitipong isip sa sasabihin ko. Isasalaysay ko, nang malinaw at may mabuting kalooban, ang paglitaw at pinagmulan ng mga rishi at ng mga diyos sa ibabaw ng lupa.”
