वैशम्पायन उवाच एवमुक्ते नारदेन भीष्ममीयुर्नराधिपा: । प्रष्टं चाशक्नुवन्तस्ते वीक्षांचक्रु: परस्परम्‌

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca evam ukte nāradena bhīṣmam īyur narādhipāḥ | praṣṭuṃ ca aśaknuvantas te vīkṣāṃ cakruḥ parasparam |

Translation

Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Nang masabi ni Nārada ang gayon, lumapit ang mga hari kay Bhīṣma. Ngunit hindi nila magawang maglakas-loob na magtanong; sa halip ay nagtinginan sila, bawat isa’y naghihintay na may maunang magsalita—na nagpapakita ng kanilang pag-aatubili sa harap ng iginagalang na matanda at ng bigat ng dharmang nais nilang maunawaan.
