Paraśurāma’s origins and the depletion/restoration of kṣatriya lineages
वैशम्पायन उवाच एवं ब्रुवंस्तं च यदुप्रवीरो युधिष्ठिरं धर्मभृतां वरिष्ठम् । रथेन तेनाशु ययौ महात्मा दिश: प्रकाशन् भगवानिवार्क:,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--राजन्! धर्मात्माओंमें श्रेष्ठ युधिष्ठिससे इस प्रकार वार्तालाप करते हुए यदुकुल-तिलक महात्मा श्रीकृष्ण उस रथके द्वारा भगवान् सूर्यके समान सम्पूर्ण दिशाओंमें प्रकाश फैलाते हुए शीघ्रतापूर्वक आगे बढ़ते चले गये
vaiśampāyana uvāca evaṃ bruvaṃstaṃ ca yadupravīro yudhiṣṭhiraṃ dharmabhṛtāṃ variṣṭham | rathena tenāśu yayau mahātmā diśaḥ prakāśan bhagavān ivārkaḥ ||
Wika ni Vaiśampāyana: Habang gayon siyang nakikipag-usap kay Yudhiṣṭhira—ang pinakadakila sa mga tagapagtaguyod ng dharma—ang bayaning supling ng mga Yadu, ang dakilang-loob na si Kṛṣṇa, ay mabilis na nagpatuloy sa karwaheng iyon, nililiwanagan ang lahat ng dako na wari’y ang banal na Araw.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Dharma is upheld through ongoing dialogue and discernment: Yudhiṣṭhira is praised as the foremost bearer of dharma, while Kṛṣṇa is depicted as illuminating clarity—suggesting that righteous governance depends on enlightened counsel and moral insight.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Kṛṣṇa, after speaking with Yudhiṣṭhira, departs swiftly in his chariot. His movement is poetically compared to the Sun spreading light in all directions, emphasizing his commanding, guiding presence.
