ऋक्षै: संवर्धितो विप्र ऋक्षवत्यथ पर्वते । प्रभो! उनके सिवा पुरुवंशी विदूरथका भी एक पुत्र जीवित है, जिसे ऋक्षवान्‌ पर्वतपर रीछोंने पालकर बड़ा किया है

ṛkṣaiḥ saṃvardhito vipra ṛkṣavatyatha parvate |

Sinabi ni Vāsudeva: “O brāhmaṇa, siya’y pinalaki at pinalusog ng mga oso sa bundok na tinatawag na Ṛkṣavat. Kaya, bukod pa sa iba, may isang anak pa ng angkan ni Puru—anak ni Vidūratha—na nananatiling buhay, iniligtas ng di-inaasahang pag-aaruga sa ilang.”
