व्यासश्वाकथयत्‌ प्रीत्या धर्मपुत्राय धीमते । स एवायं मया तुभ्यमाख्यात: प्रसृतो गुरो:

Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Vyāsaś ca kathayat prītyā Dharmaputrāya dhīmate | sa evāyaṃ mayā tubhyam ākhyātaḥ prasṛto guroḥ ||

Translation

Wika ni Vaiśampāyana: Sa mapagmahal na kalooban, ipinaliwanag ni Vyāsa ang aral na ito ng dharma kay Yudhiṣṭhira, ang marunong na anak ni Dharma. Ang dharmang iyon din—na mismong lumabas sa bibig ng guro—ay isinalaysay ko ngayon dito para sa iyo.
