Nāgendra–Brāhmaṇa Saṃvāda: Praśna-vidhi and Dharmic Approach on the Gomatī Riverbank

All embodied beings share a common constitution—the five great elements—and their arising is framed as occurring under the Lord’s purposeful governance. This supports an ethical outlook of humility, non-cruelty, and restraint, since no creature is fundamentally separate in its material basis.
Vaiśampāyana addresses a ruler (“lord of the people”), explaining a doctrinal point about the origin and composition of living beings: they are pervaded by the five elements and come into being through divine resolve, as part of the Shānti Parva’s instruction on right understanding and conduct.
