पाविताड्डा: सम संवृत्ता: श्रुत्वेमामादित: कथाम् । नारायणाश्रयां पुण्यां सर्वपापप्रमोचनीम्,समस्त पापोंसे छुड़ानेवाली नारायणसम्बन्धिनी इस पुण्यमयी कथाको आरम्भसे ही सुनकर हमारे तन-मन पवित्र हो गये
pāvitāḍḍāḥ sama-saṃvṛttāḥ śrutvemām āditaḥ kathām | nārāyaṇāśrayāṃ puṇyāṃ sarva-pāpa-pramocanīm ||
Wika ni Śaunaka: “Nang marinig namin mula pa sa simula ang banal na salaysay na ito—ang mapagpalang kuwentong nakasandig kay Nārāyaṇa at nagpapalaya sa lahat ng kasalanan—nalinis ang aming katawan at isipan, at kami’y naging ganap na payapa at panatag.”
