Nāga-āyatana-darśana-pratīkṣā — The Brāhmaṇa’s Request and Waiting on the Gomatī
यस्य प्रसादाद् वक्ष्यामि नारायणकथामिमाम् | वैशम्पायनजीने कहा--अमिततेजस्वी भगवान् व्यासको नमस्कार है, जिनके कृपाप्रसादसे मैं भगवान् नारायणकी यह कथा कह रहा हूँ
yasya prasādād vakṣyāmi nārāyaṇa-kathām imām |
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Sa biyaya ng kanyang pagpapala na nagbibigay sa akin ng kakayahang magsalita, isasalaysay ko ngayon ang banal na salaysay tungkol kay Nārāyaṇa. Nagpupugay ako kay Bhagavān Vyāsa, na may di-masukat na ningning; sa kanyang basbas nagiging maaari ang pagsasalaysay na ito.
