अहिंसाधर्मसंयुक्ता: प्रचरेयु: सुरोत्तमा: । स वो देश: सेवितव्यो मा वो<धर्म: पदा स्पृशेत्
ahiṃsā-dharma-saṃyuktāḥ pracareyuḥ surottamāḥ | sa vo deśaḥ sevitavyo mā vo dharmaḥ padā spṛśet |
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: “O pinakadakila sa mga diyos, kumilos kayo na kaisa ng dharma ng ahiṃsā (di-karahasan). Yaong lupain ang dapat ninyong piliing tahanan at paglingkuran, upang ang inyong dharma ay hindi madungisan—upang hindi man lamang ito ‘masaling ng paa,’ ibig sabihi’y matapakan o malapastangan.”
