Sautir uvāca—etat te sarvam ākhyātaṃ Vaiśampāyana-kīrtitam.
Wika ni Sauti: “O Śaunaka, naisalaysay ko na sa iyo nang ganap ang buong salaysay na ito, gaya ng pagkakabanggit ni Vaiśampāyana. Nang marinig ito, si Haring Janamejaya ay maayos na nagsagawa ng pagsamba at handog na sakripisyo para sa Panginoon ayon sa pinakamataas na itinakdang pamamaraan. Kayo rin ay mga asceta—matatag sa pag-aayuno at tapat sa inyong mga panata.”
