Nara-Nārāyaṇa–Nārada Discourse on Vision, Elements, and Entry into Vāsudeva
The verse highlights the visible disparity in how the fruits of action are distributed: people may contribute labor while others enjoy comfort. It prompts reflection on karma, social ethics, and the complex, often unequal linkage between effort and reward.
Nārada uses a concrete social image—some carrying a palanquin and others riding in it—to illustrate a broader observation about the world: outcomes connected with actions appear uneven, with burdens and benefits falling on different people.
