Educational Q&A

Disregarding the rightful instruction and authority of gurus and elders is a serious adharma; the text warns that such conduct bears painful karmic consequences after death, depicted through hellish punishments.

Vyāsa describes the post-mortem fate of those who violate elders’ commands: in hell, fearsome dogs, iron-beaked birds, predatory flocks, and blood-drinking worms attack and mutilate the sinner’s torment-body.
