Adhyātma–Adhibhūta–Adhidaivata Correspondences and the Triguṇa Lakṣaṇas (Śānti-parva 301)
शक््यं चाल्पेन कालेन शान्तिं प्राप्तुं गुणार्थिना । एवमुक्तेन कौन्तेय युक्तज्ञानेन मोक्षिणा
śakyaṃ cālpena kālena śāntiṃ prāptuṃ guṇārthinā | evam uktena kaunteya yukta-jñānena mokṣiṇā ||
Sinabi ni Bhīṣma: Para sa naghahangad ng tunay na kagalingan, maaaring makamtan ang kapayapaan sa maikling panahon. O anak ni Kuntī, ang naghahanap na karapat-dapat sa paglaya—na taglay ang kaalamang ipinaliwanag at naisasabuhay nang wasto—ay mabilis na makararating sa sukdulang katahimikan.
भीष्म उवाच
Bhīṣma teaches that supreme peace is not distant: a person who genuinely seeks inner excellence and is qualified for liberation can attain tranquility quickly when the taught knowledge is not merely heard but properly integrated into conduct and understanding.
In the Śānti Parva’s instruction section, Bhīṣma addresses the son of Kuntī and concludes a strand of teaching by affirming its practical efficacy: the knowledge just expounded, when rightly assimilated by a mokṣa-seeker, leads swiftly to peace.
