महाबाहु जनार्दन! हम सब लोग पुनः महान् संशयमें पड़ गये हैं। आप इनके शोकका नाश कीजिये ।। वैशम्पायन उवाच एवमुक्तस्तु गोविन्दो विजयेन महात्मना । पर्यवर्तत राजानं पुण्डरीकेक्षणोडच्युत:,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--राजन्! महामना अर्जुनके ऐसा कहनेपर अपनी महिमासे कभी च्युत न होनेवाले कमलनयन भगवान् गोविन्द राजा युधिष्ठिरकी ओर घूमे--उनके सम्मुख हुए
vaiśampāyana uvāca: evam uktas tu govindo vijayena mahātmanā | paryāvartata rājānaṃ puṇḍarīkekṣaṇo 'cyutaḥ ||
Wika ni Arjuna: “O Janārdana na makapangyarihan ang bisig! Muli kaming lahat ay nahulog sa malaking pag-aalinlangan. Pawiin mo ang kanyang dalamhati.” Sabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Nang masabi ito ng dakilang-loob na si Vijaya (Arjuna), si Govinda—may matang gaya ng lotus, si Acyuta na hindi kailanman nalilihis sa kanyang banal na kadakilaan—ay lumingon sa haring si Yudhiṣṭhira at humarap sa kanya.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even before explicit instruction begins, the verse highlights Kṛṣṇa’s steady, unfailing role (Acyuta) as the source of clarity in times of doubt and sorrow. Ethical resolution in the Mahābhārata often comes through turning toward rightful authority and dharmic counsel rather than remaining trapped in grief.
Arjuna (Vijaya) has spoken, and in response Kṛṣṇa (Govinda) physically turns from Arjuna toward King Yudhiṣṭhira. This marks a narrative pivot: Kṛṣṇa is about to address the king directly, indicating that Yudhiṣṭhira’s anguish and moral uncertainty are now the focus.
