Orderly, disciplined practice—specifically taking up the prescribed names in proper sequence—leads to the attainment of human goals such as artha (benefit/wealth), bhoga (enjoyment), and kāma (desired objects).
Bhīṣma continues an instruction in the Śānti Parva, advising a methodical practice: the practitioner should promptly take up the relevant names in due order, and the text states the resulting fruits—obtaining sought-after aims and enjoyments.
