महेश्वर उवाच सुरैरेव महाभागे पूर्वमेतदनुछितम् । यज्ञेषु सर्वेषु मम न भाग उपकल्पित:
Maheśvara uvāca: surair eva mahābhāge pūrvam etad anuṣṭhitam | yajñeṣu sarveṣu mama na bhāga upakalpitaḥ ||
Wika ni Maheśvara: “O marangal na ginang, ang mga diyos mismo noong unang panahon ang nagtakda ng ganitong kaayusan: sa lahat ng mga handog na yajña, walang bahaging inilaan para sa akin. Kaya, ayon sa naunang pasya nila, ako’y inalis sa mga bahagi ng handog.”
