The verse highlights the dharmic prestige of properly performed Vedic sacrifice: when a righteous lord like Dakṣa conducts the Aśvamedha, even the gods are drawn to participate, implying that disciplined ritual action sustains cosmic order and earns divine recognition.
Maheśvara addresses a noble lady and introduces Dakṣa as an eminent Prajāpati who is performing an Aśvamedha. The statement sets the scene by emphasizing the grandeur of the rite—so significant that celestial beings come to it.
