आनन्द: कर्मणां सिद्धि: प्रतिपत्ति: परा गति: | सात््विकस्य निमित्तानि भावान्‌ संश्रयते स्मृति:

Ānandaḥ karmaṇāṁ siddhiḥ pratipattiḥ parā gatiḥ | sāttvikasya nimittāni bhāvān saṁśrayate smṛtiḥ ||

Sinabi ni Asita: “Ang ānanda (kagalakan), sukha (ginhawa), ang pagtatagumpay ng mga gawa, ang kakayahang makaunawa nang wasto, at ang pinakamataas na hantungan—ito ang mga sandigan ng disposisyong sāttvika. Ang alaala (smṛti) ng taong sāttvika ay nakasandig sa mga ito; kaya maging sa panaginip, gaya sa paggising, ang kanyang gunita ay umiikot sa kagalakan at mga katulad nito.”
