प्रज्ञा धर्मे च रमते धर्म चैवोपजीवति । सो<थ धर्मादवाप्तेषु धनेषु कुरुते मन:,वह बढ़ी हुई बुद्धि धर्ममें ही सुख मानती और उसीका सहारा लेती है। वह पुरुष धर्मसे प्राप्त होनेवाले धनमें मन लगाता है

prajñā dharme ca ramate dharma caivopajīvati | so 'tha dharmād avāpteṣu dhaneṣu kurute manaḥ ||

Wika ni Bhishma: Ang hinog na talino ay nagagalak sa dharma at nabubuhay na dharma lamang ang sandigan. Kaya’t itinatakda niya ang isip sa yaman, ngunit tanging sa lawak na ito’y nakamit sa pamamagitan ng dharma—ginagawang tunay na salalayan ang matuwid na paraan, at tanging matuwid na pakinabang ang itinuturing na dapat pag-ukulan ng hangarin.
