Adhyāya 272: Vṛtrasya Dharmiṣṭhatā, Indrasya Mohaḥ, Vasiṣṭha-upadeśaḥ

एकशीलाश्ष मित्रत्वं भजन्ते पापकर्मिण: । स नेह सुखमाप्रोति कुत एव परत्र वै
ekaśīlāś ca mitratvaṁ bhajante pāpakarmiṇaḥ | sa neha sukham āpnoti kuta eva paratra vai ||
Wika ni Bhishma: Ang may magkakatulad na likas—lalo na ang makasalanan—ay madaling nagkakaibigan sa isa’t isa. Ngunit ang taong lumilihis sa matuwid na asal ay hindi nakakamit ang ligaya kahit sa mundong ito; paano pa kaya sa kabilang buhay?
