मोक्षोपाय-निर्णयः

Determination of the Means to Liberation

उद्वेजनेन बन्धेन विरूपकरणेन च । वधदण्डेन ते क्लिश्या न पुरोहितसंसदि

udvejanena bandhena virūpakaraṇena ca | vadhadaṇḍena te kliśyā na purohitasaṃsadi ||

Sinabi ni Dyumatsena: “Pigilin ang gayong mga nagkasala sa pamamagitan ng pananakot, pagkakabilanggo, o paglalagay ng kapansanan sa katawan upang maging lantad ang tanda; ngunit huwag silang pahirapan sa parusang kamatayan, sapagkat iyon ay nagdadala lamang ng dalamhati sa kanilang mga pamilya. Gayundin, kahit sila’y nagkanlong na sa kapulungan o sa pag-iingat ng isang paring Brāhmaṇa, hindi dapat ipataw ng hari sa kanila ang hatol na kamatayan.”
