Adhyāya 262: Śabda-brahman, Para-brahman, and the Ethics of Tyāga

Kapila–Syūmaraśmi Saṃvāda

स सम पापकृतां लोकान्‌ गच्छेदशुभकर्मणा । प्रमाणमप्रमाणेन यः कुर्यादशुभं नर:

sa sama-pāpakṛtāṁ lokān gacched aśubha-karmaṇā | pramāṇam apramāṇena yaḥ kuryād aśubhaṁ naraḥ ||

Sa paggawa ng masasamang gawa, ang tao ay napupunta sa mga daigdig na katulad ng sa iba pang makasalanan. Ang sinumang gumagawa ng kasamaan sa pamamagitan ng pagtrato sa hindi tunay na pamantayan na para bang ito’y wastong awtoridad—gumagamit ng huwad na panukat upang bigyang-katwiran ang kilos—ay nahuhulog sa kasamaan.
