Adhyāya 262: Śabda-brahman, Para-brahman, and the Ethics of Tyāga
Kapila–Syūmaraśmi Saṃvāda
आदित्याज्जायते वृष्टिवष्टेरन्न॑ तत: प्रजा: । जिस प्रकार आकाशसे निर्मल जलकी वर्षा होती है उसी प्रकार शुद्ध भावसे किये हुए यज्ञसे योग्य प्रजाकी उत्पत्ति होती है। विप्रवर! अग्निमें डाली हुई आहुति सूर्यमण्डलको प्राप्त होती है
ādityāj jāyate vṛṣṭir vṛṣṭer annaṃ tataḥ prajāḥ |
Ipinaliwanag ni Chulādhāra ang moral na ugnayang pangkalikasan na nagdurugtong sa gawa ng tao at sa kaayusan ng sansinukob: mula sa Araw nagmumula ang ulan; mula sa ulan ang pagkain; at sa pagkain, ang mga nilalang ay napapanatili at isinisilang. Ipinahihiwatig niya na kapag ang mga handog ay iniaalay nang may kalinisan ng loob at wastong layon, nakikiayon ito sa siklo ng araw at ng himpapawid, kaya nagkakaroon ng napapanahong ulan, kasaganaan ng butil, at pagyabong ng lipunan—patunay na ang pamumuhay ayon sa dharma ay sumasandig sa kapakanan ng daigdig.
चुलाधार उवाच
Dharmic, pure-intentioned action (exemplified by yajña and rightful conduct) sustains cosmic balance: the sun supports rain, rain produces food, and food sustains all beings; therefore personal ethics and social welfare are inseparable.
Chulādhāra is instructing a learned interlocutor by describing the causal chain that connects the Sun, rainfall, food production, and the survival and growth of living beings, using it to ground an ethical lesson about purity and world-sustaining duty.
